Creator guide · Poker stream highlights
Turn a poker stream into highlights.
A four-hour stream might hold a hundred hands and five that people will share. This guide covers which hands make good highlights, how to find them without scrubbing the whole recording, and what to check before you post.
I play and stream poker, and I built PokerStreamClipper because finding my own hands in long recordings took longer than editing them.
Try it on a real archive: search "Garage Game biggest pots" and preview the hands before you pick any.
What makes a good poker highlight?
- Big pots. The simplest ranking, and the one viewers understand at a glance.
- All-ins and run-outs. The sweat on the turn and river is the moment people replay.
- Bluffs and hero calls. Show the action that sets them up, not just the reveal.
- Coolers and bad beats. Strong hand against stronger hand, with the board doing the storytelling.
- The table's characters. Regulars and their reactions often matter more than the cards.
Most highlights work best as one complete hand, from the deal to the pot being pushed, so viewers can follow the story without the stream around it.
How do I find those hands in a long stream?
The manual way is to scrub the recording, write down timestamps, and cut each hand in an editor. That works for one stream, but it is slow to repeat every week, and it is easy to miss a hand.
PokerStreamClipper reads the broadcast's own graphics, such as the hand counter, pot, player names and cards, and splits an indexed stream into individual hands. Each hand becomes its own clip that you can search and preview.
- Ask for what you want. Type a request such as Garage Game biggest pots, Dukey Bets biggest bluffs or Garage Game pocket aces.
- Check how it read your request. The understood filters are shown before any clip, so you can correct a search that went wrong.
- Preview the real footage. Every result is the original broadcast, not generated video.
- Pick, order and export. Add the hands you want, put them in order, and download one MP4.
You can also browse a whole broadcast hand by hand: the Garage Game Live broadcast pages list each stream's biggest pots and link to every hand on YouTube.
What should I check before posting?
- The pot. Overlay readings can include uncalled chips or miss a side pot; confirm the amount you quote.
- Names and cards. They are read from the overlay and can be misread.
- Hand boundaries. Make sure the clip starts before the key action and does not run into the next hand.
- Rights. Post only footage you own or have permission to use.
Common questions
Does PokerStreamClipper post highlights to YouTube for me?
No. It finds hands and exports a compilation you download; you choose what to publish, where, and with what commentary.
Can it make highlights from my own poker stream?
The public catalog covers Garage Game Live today. If you run a stream and control its footage, I can talk about a creator pilot to index your broadcasts.
Run a poker stream?
Send me your stream name, a sample recording, and the highlights you want to make.
